What drives you to be a business owner?

I love to produce results as it tests my willpower. It is a thrill trying to manifest all of the ideas and plans that develop in my mind. Life feels lovely when I am able to have full control of my time, and I know exactly what end result my energy is going to. Owning a business means you are providing a service, resource, or ideology that the community desires. It is outstanding to realize that I am contributing to others’ pursuit of happiness while also participating in a passion that brings me joy.

How has the Entrepreneurship Center at WCC helped with your business goals?

The Entrepreneurship Center has been integral in the start up process and is currently helping me grow my business. The EC at WCC organized a ‘Business of Videography Boot Camp’ that really gave me invaluable information and insight that I would not have been able to soak in anywhere else. The WCC EC even provides opportunities for student-entrepreneurs to fulfill needs for the school. I have completed 4 full commercials for the Entrepreneurship Center and a separate corporate video for WCC faculty only. The Entrepreneurship Center has a fantastic, peaceful co-working office space where I complete a lot of tasks and I have applied knowledge of procedures that I learned from 3 of their workshops.

If you could offer one piece of advice for fellow entrepreneurs or prospective entrepreneurs, what would it be?

If you are an aspiring business owner, please listen to this advice: NO DISTRACTIONS. You shouldn’t be wasting money or spending time on anything except eating or bills. You should only go into business if it satisfies some segment of your soul. If it does, focus only on it so your dreams won’t be deferred. The more energy you put into your proprietary goals; the results grow bigger and they come faster. Your character will develop right along with your business. You will start to learn new fascinating things about yourself as you dedicate your time to your dreams.
