Welcome to L G B T Q A + Resources! We provide education, information and support to students, faculty, and staff of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions on our campus.

We’re here to:

  • Support WCC in being a safe and welcoming space for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Educate about LGBTQA+
  • Provide information on campus, local, and national LGBTQA+ events, news, and resources
  • Work on issues and concerns that impact LGBTQA+ people at WCC and assist with specific situations, such as cases of bullying or harassment
  • Encourage interaction with the wider LGBTQA+ community in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti and beyond

What do all those initials mean?

LGBTQA+ = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Asexual, Ally + Other Identities

Terminology: There are a lot of terms used to describe sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression! Gender 101 will help you get familiar with these and other terms.

Designated pronouns : These are pronouns an individual chooses to be referred to as. Learn about designated pronouns from UM’s Spectrum Center .
