We offer quality childcare and educational programs for children ages 18 months to 5 years old, not eligible for kindergarten or young 5’s programs while their parents attend classes, study or work at WCC.
Washtenaw Community College provides a nationally accredited and licensed child care facility in the Family Education Building for children of WCC students, staff and faculty. The center offers a comprehensive child development program which emphasizes the child's self-identity and feeling of worth. Children are supported in strengthening learning in key areas through active learning, discovery, and problem solving.
The staff is fully trained in early childhood education and development. Work-study students and foster grandparents also offer additional care. Practicum students in the Child Care Professional Program provide additional new experiences for children.
For all policies, procedures, and program information, please refer to the Children's Center Parent Handbook .
