WCC CARES Grant Application

Washtenaw Community College is providing a WCC CARES Grant to support enrolled students who are impacted by classes shifting to an online format due to the coronavirus pandemic.  The emergency grant is funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and is intended to help students with expenses that may impact their ability to complete their course(s). These expenses include technology, internet access, childcare, and course materials.  The aid is available to students who have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2020-2021 academic year.  WCC CARES Grants are in addition to any other financial aid students may have received to date.

If you have submitted your FAFSA for the current academic year, you may apply now for the WCC CARES Act Grant.

If you have not yet submitted a FAFSA for the current academic year, please do so prior to applying for a CARES Act Grant at FAFSA.gov. If you are completing a new FAFSA, be sure to add Washtenaw Community College as a school choice.  You will receive an email when the College receives your FAFSA information.  Once your FAFSA is received, you may apply for the WCC CARES Grant.  Contact the Financial Aid office at 734-973-3523 or [email protected] if you need help.

If you are unable to submit a FAFSA and are in need of emergency funding, please apply for a WCC Foundation Student Emergency Fund grant.
