Students can apply to start in their 9th, 10th, or 11th grade years. Students entering as 10th or 11th graders must have completed 1 credit each in these 5 areas by June 30th of their prior grade year:
- English
- Social studies
- Math
- Science
- At least 1 elective
The application process for new applicants begins in December for the following school
year. Students interested in applying to WTMC (and their parents) should attend an
admission meeting in December or January. How to apply
Admissions invitational meeting
The 9th grade program admissions meeting is for current 8th graders.
The Middle College program admissions meeting is for current high school students (current 9th or 10th graders).

Lottery
After applying for admission, students are assigned a random lottery number. If more students apply than the school can enroll in a given year, a public lottery will be held in March and a waitlist will be created and posted online using these numbers.
Families will be notified by email and regular mail on the Monday following the lottery about next steps in the admissions process.
